Two days of hanging out, plus some moldy slime

MondaySar and I hitched a ride to Oradea with Dave and explored their walking street while he ran errands.  I loved the beautiful old architecture! The only thing that stopped me from taking countless pictures was not wanting to look that much like a tourist.  (We were already the quick-google-the-word-for-"bill"-so-we-can-ask-for-it-when-she-comes-back and the how-much-do-they-leave-for-tip-around-here? people.)

We had a few interesting run-ins with women trying to talk to us in Romanian and not quite understanding that we didn't speak the language.  One of them walked off for a moment and came back with a post-it with a couple different phone numbers on it, saying something about "California" and someone she knew there.  Clearly we had agreed to something when we thought she was just asking if we were Americans.  Whoops.

Tuesday: The electricians and carpenters finally finished the work on the Isaiah Center (following the small fire, which required the rest of the building to be rewired) so today was a massive blitz of cleaning.  I wound up hanging upside down inside a giant freezer chest full of mold, and no I don't have a picture of that!
Between scooping chunks of moldy slime out of the freezer, collecting all the trash that the Center's next door neighbor threw over the fence (they don't like that Rachel is "raising thieves among [them]"), and sweeping/scooping massive amounts of plaster off the floor, I got to hang out with the boys.

Sarah was back at the lodge, lacquering beads, so I had Abel and Samu's full attention.  They fought over who could get more flowers to stick in my hair and "forced" me to watch an hour of cartoons in Romanian.  (Still, I'm pretty sure the baby sharp-tooth started out discriminated against, and then saved the day so everyone finally accepted him.  Oh, Land Before Time.)  We also played an interested combination of football, American football, and baseball...  I love those boys :)
