Scotland is absolutely beautiful. It's green, there's cliff's everywhere, and there's centuries of architecture smooshed into Edinburgh.

That building in the right lower corner has the Elephant House Cafe (where JK Rowling wrote the first two Harry Potter novels) on the second floor!
Edinburgh Castle is probably the best castle I've ever seen. It's exactly as I always imagine castles to be. Of course, part of this is due to the fact that during the Victorian Age they added a whole bunch more to the castle because they didn't think it looked Medieval enough....
It's even gorgeous at night
Aside from being gorgeous, the other thing I look for in a great city is great food. Not only is Scottish food delicious, Edinburgh is also......well, interesting.
Oink is a restaurant where they serve and entire pig every day. Once the pig is gone, they close up shop. And then there's haggis. Traditionally made from the leftover scraps of the pig, mixed with oats and spices and then shoved into the pig's stomach, where it is simmered. Yum right? Actually, it's pretty good!
