Belfast is probably best known for the Titanic and The Troubles. Unfortunate, but true.
I enjoyed the Titanic memorial and the one moment of humour -- albeit dark humour -- in the museum as pictured in the upper left hand corner. It's the transcript of the conversations the operator had that evening, including this one where he is annoyed at other ships trying to warn of icebergs.
I enjoyed the riots less, not because I witnessed them, but because the Catholic-Protestant fights annoy me as a Catholic-Protestant. It's basically the same guys. And both your Jesus' said not to do exactly what you are doing. So stop it.
I also stopped by to see the "Big Fish" in the upper right corner, and the Beacon of Hope in the lower right corner.
The World Police and Fire Games were going on when I got to Belfast so I watched the dodgeball tournament and cheered for the FDNY team, which included this pretty funny Captain America.
