Grey and green: The subtle beauty of Ireland

Ireland is fighting Germany for my favorite country.
Irish people are snarky and comical: I wanted to spend my entire trip hanging out with my hysterical tour guide.  I wanted her to introduce me to all her friends and let me hang out in a pub with them where they taught me how to be Irish.
Irish food is delicious and seems the most homey: Guiness stews and vegetable soups.  Mmmmmm.
Ireland is really beautiful!

Everything is in a palette of greens and greys, which may sound like it would be less than appealing, but just look at these completely un-retouched photos!  Gorgeous.  Simply gorgeous.  That grass is green.  Kelly green, if I ever saw it.

And Dublin is just not Dublin without....

Guinness! (and gaelic football)
After all of my "I don't like beer"-ing, it turns out I love Guinness.  Like, looooove it.  I took my first big sip of Guinness (after allowing it to settle, like a good little Irish girl), I expected it to be strong and bitter, not smooth and nutty.  Ah, Guinness.  Deliciousness.  I certainly have to drink my fill of it in Ireland and the UK for fear it will not be the same when it's imported to the States.
